Special 2 inch backset Spring latch only - Square faceplate, Brass finish.
Square Spindle hole: 1/4 inch Diameter (7mm) This latch was designed to be used with the 1200 Series Handlesets 40054 with 5-1/2 Crossbore center lines or the 40055 with 6 inch cross bores. ( see additional pictures)
NOTE 1: Will NOT work with - National, Dexter, Weiser, Weslock, Schlage, Kwikset, Harloc, Yale, Master -
Will NOT work on any lock that has a 5/16 diameter spindle.
Will NOT work with any lock that has horizontal stud posts;
Screw holes MUST be above and below latch
NOTE 2: There is a small dimple in the center of the slot on the deadbolt latch -
this is designed to stop the tailpiece from going all the way through on some applications. -
NOTE 3: This latch does not have any holes for the handle stud posts to go through.
This is because the mounting screw holes are located above and below latch.
